Most owners forget about the oral health of the pet. It is stated that even though, daily oral brushing is recommended for dogs, most dog owners do not follow this. Apart from this, most dogs with first stage of periodontal diseases are not treated. Before starting any dental regimen, it is better to get the dog’s teeth tested from your vet. Also, get into regular dental care regimen as per the advice of your vet. In addition, never use human tooth paste for dog as he cannot spit and some ingredients in the human toothpaste can cause harm to the dog’s health.
